This picture is from buffalo chicken pasta that I made last week. I take absolutely no credit for this recipe whatsoever. I used Juli Baur’s recipe and changed nothing. Actually, that’s a lie. I actually used 1/2 as much mayo as her recipe calls for, I used Frank’s Hot Sauce rather than Tessemae’s and I added bacon on top. But other than that, everything is the exact same. I am constantly complaining about how there are not enough places in Annapolis for paleo people to eat. Well, on Friday night I returned to one that I haven’t been to in over a year and I am happy to say that it was just as good this time as it was the last time I ate there.
I went out for my moms birthday with my sister and a few of my aunts to Level in downtown Annapolis and I left dinner very satisfied. Level is an awesome restaurant that is huge on sourcing their food from local, sustainable resources whenever possible. It is a “small plates” type of restaurant, so we ordered about 8 plates for all of us to share. Continue reading
Hello there! I know you probably thought that I completely abandoned my blog and gave up on cooking, but you were wrong. I was on a little mini-vacation for my second favorite holiday: St. Patrick’s Day. I went down to Ocean City, MD for four days with a group of friends. This is a picture from my ladies night out last night with (from left to right) my sister, my aunt Melissa, my mom and me! Ladies night = alcohol, appetizers and dancing. Dancing is good. The rest? Not so much.
This post came about for a few reasons. 1. I love chicken wings. I almost always try them when I go out to eat. 2. I love salt and I love vinegar. Put them together and I’m pretty much in heaven. 3. Salt and vinegar wings from Buffalo Wild Wings are so damn good, but they are in no way paleo (especially when you get the boneless ones like I tend to, which are breaded). 4. I have been asked about staying paleo when going out to eat and drink, and since that’s exactly what I did last night, the timing seemed appropriate.
